A square box made in chestnut wood and cotton ribbon tape.
The traditional Tomobako is a wooden box that was used to keep fine ceramic pieces. More than just for transportations it had, written on the outside, the size and description of the object that it was made for, which made it a kind of proof of authenticity. It was usually kept closed with knotted ribbon tied on top of the lid. Our design is different, but it is inspired by this tradition of caring for the quality achieved by masterful craftsmanship.
