Solutions to a problem can mostly be divided in two categories:
Short-term, and Long-term.
Both are useful ways of thinking, depending on the situation.
The first means we’ve solved it in a way that works, here and now, but not that will work for long. Maybe that is enough. Or maybe it is all we can do right now.
The second is usually more laborious, takes more effort to think about and research, time to experiment with, and resources to implement. But it is also the one that may have the most positive impact, or at least the less negative one, to the situation around the problem we need to solve.

Sometimes it can be difficult to decide which approach we should use.
So, a good question we can ask ourselves is: are we looking for a quick solution, that simply solves our problem now? Or a really good one, that is also positive for everyone involved in the long run?
Because only one of the answers takes responsibility for what our future will look like.
